COVID-19 Nova Scotia Reopening Phase (Vaccine & 14-day Quarantine Requirement)
Nova Scotia Reopening Phases will take 2-4 weeks and are based on vaccination rates, COVID-19 cases, and hospitalization numbers. AKCSE will constantly monitor the status of reopening phases and quarantine requirements. Nova Scotia government optimistically anticipates that the province will enter Phase 4 by July 14, which the province will allow all residents in other Canadian provinces to enter without self-isolating, as long as they are fully vaccinated.Canadian travellers from outside of Atlantic Canada who have had one dose of vaccine could be allowed to enter under a modified quarantine (e.g., 7 days self-isolating). However, currently there are no modified quarantine requirements available and it may be determined by vaccine status and Covid-19 cases later. All things considered, AKCSE strongly encourages those attending CKC2021 Halifax, Nova Scotia to get fully vaccinated (ideally by 2 weeks prior to travelling to Halifax). Please check our CKC2021 (https://akcse.ca/ckc2021) and province (https://novascotia.ca/reopening-plan/) websites frequently to stay up to date on CKC program and quarantine requirement.
